I am really annoyed. I ordered some trainers (as a gift). Early this morning I got a text from PF to say that it would be delivered today but nothing although I have been here all day. There is no chance I could have missed them. I just tracked my parcel and it says that addressee has been advised to collect from Post Office! I have had no text, no card left, nothing.

It is now 6.40pm and I am assuming it is unlikely to be delivered this evening. I will phone Office in the morning, but what a waste of a day.

Still feeling a tad annoyed at the misinformation on the tracking service but have just received a text to say that it will be delivered later this evening. Not quite sure what the "advised to collect from Post Office" was about. Very confusing. But, at least, hopefully, my parcel is on its way. Surely tracking information should be accurate and up to date.

well, it has just gone 8pm and no parcel but I think it will be delivered by 8.30pm according to the latest text.

This might be helpful to others who are awaiting a delivery at this time of year. It is useful to know that they work this late into the evening at this busy time.
  • Did it arrive?

No it did not! And no further contact from them beyond text that gave me a specific one hour window last evening. So I need to stay at home again and hope. Suffice to say, I won't ever rely on them again.

Well, another day and still no parcel. Just a text and email to say that "following their attempt to deliver" it had been taken to the "local" post office! I have been in for two days now and they expect me to collect what was meant to be a 24 hour express delivery. Of course, there was no card left on their imaginary visit. I phoned the company and told them that if it doesn't arrive tomorrow, I will cancel the order. They gave me PF number and, although the girl was helpful (obviously fed up with calls like mine), there was no guarantee that I would get it before Monday. The girl is trying to sort something out for tomorrow but I am losing the will. I have to be at home tomorrow anyway so we shall see. The post office is not that near me and I am unable to drive at the moment but, anyway, why should I?

Needless to say, I will be checking who delivers parcels next time I order online. How do such companies survive?

Well, purely because of one or two obviously conscientious staff I spoke to from PF, I received my parcel this afternoon, delivered by one worker who went that extra mile for me. For this I am grateful but still regret that it had to come to that.

They didnt take mine to my nearest post office when they did this to me, the took it to my 4th nearest, 4 miles away. Its daft, they are one of the most expensive couriers and deliver to a post office not to the door.

Not all post offices accept parcels, the other alternative is they take it back to the depot and you collect from there, a post office 4 miles away would probably be a lot nearer than the depot ?

    A good idea IMO

Maybe, but not if you have been at home all the time, with the lights blazing!
