Just bought. It DOES play vidoes/U tube, etc, but when I go to free film site (Putlocker), the 'main video' will not play as there is no 'plug in' (apparently Nexus does not support). The secondary video (different format) plays OK

I assume ?mine is 4.4 ?
this link says it won't work, if 4.1 (?)

now confused. Don't want to mess it up.
I can play TV/sky/catch up/utube etc on tablet, but the film thing is bugging me. (eg it will not play Spectre/Bond
Advice please

I doubt that your Nexus 7 is going to be 4.4. Settings/About tablet will tell you but if you've taken the various OTA updates that you will have been offered it is going to be 5.0 at least and probably later.
If you do install flash be sure you trust the site you get the APK from and remove the option to install from unknown sources afterwards.0 -
Don't bother with flash, look for sites that supports HTML 5.
The current version of Android for the N7 is 6.0 Marshmallow. I assume you bought the 2013 model and not the 2012 model ?Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
Mine upgraded to 6.0.1 yesterday.0

Glad you mentioned the recent update. I bought one as an Xmas present for my grandson and it went through umpteen updates to get to 5.something. I'll grab the latest update now so it's updated for Xmas.0

The update might have been available for a while as I hadn't used it for a few weeks.0
