I've uninstalled it again...Too many sites not working with it as they are not supporting too many plug-ins. Not Mozilla's fault really just too many backward sites about.
I'll stick with the 32bit for a while longer.

I must be on their trials, each update seems to get less stable than the last one.

I cannot remember the last time a program gave a blue screen, hardware yes but not had software cause it for many many years.

Yet Firefox seems not to like youtube anymore and crashes if i adjust the volume via the keyboard, nothing else has a problem with me doing that.

I can't really tell much difference between Chrome and Firefox to be honest. What are the main differences supposed to be?

I used Firefox just because it seemed to work better on my laptop (R.I.P.)

Well, I have both on my desktop and use FF mainly. I have virtually the same add-ons in both and any difference in speed that there is (if any) is not noticeable in the real world.
I guess it's like most things, all down to very personal preferences..:)

I wondered if there was any advantage in running 64 bit software a while ago and came across this article.

The upshot is that unless a program requires a large amount of 'memory' there isn't much advantage is using a 64 bit program over a 32 bit one.

This article comes to a similar conclusion.

Don't 64-bit Windows programs have better protection against malware modifications?

I found this about DEP. I vaguely remember reading some other reasons as to why 64-bit apps are more secure, but can't quite recall the details.
64-bit operating systems have hardware-based DEP. While this is also supported on 32-bit versions of Windows if you have a modern CPU, the default settings are more stringent and DEP is always enabled for 64-bit programs, while it’s disabled by default for 32-bit programs for compatibility reasons.

I use FF at work because of some internal pages incompatibility with Chrome, but i do use Chrome for everything else, and find it much better. It runs much smoother, better tools available, and nicely integrates with my Google account.

Instead of your multiple pointless comments - would you care to express why exactly you feel that chrome is "better" ..
