I have just upgraded a Win7 desktop to Win10 and cannot send or receive emails from three different accounts in Thunderbird

I've just had what appears to be a significant update to Win10 and after installing it my Thunderbird is also not working correctly, although I'm hoping restarting the computer again might do the trick. I can't send as it loses the SMTP connection during the transaction, and I can't receive as it can't connect to the IMAP server.
Edit: Restarted and seems to be OK for send and receive now.0 -
I'm on TB42.0 and Windows 10 with no problems.
If the trouble reappears it could be an incompatible addon0
