Cashing in Flexible investment plan

I have a flexible investment plan which I need to cash in during the next month. The value has fluctuated a lot during the last year. With the news about the increase in the inflation rate today I am wondering how that will affect the amount in the investment if it is cashed in soon.

If you look at the actual index rather han the media headlines you will see that the cost of living actually dropped last month, it's just that it dropped more this time last year. In any case there is a lot of random noise in the numbers so one month in isolation means nothing.
Any number of things could affect your investment plan depending on what it is invested in, a UK inflation number is one of the less significant.0
