Help... kitchen sink return and damage disaster
Comments
-
That is the annoyance... although I am all but certain there was no damage on the box, and even if I was sure, I can't prove it now. What are you supposed to do, take photos of everything next to a newspaper and clock the moment you receive, then video the unboxing, and then keep a 24 hour video security feed fixed on the box until it's returned haha!?
I paid via debit card, so not sure what can be done there.0 -
If you could prove to the company you retuned it because it was the wrong size- could that go some way towards proving you didn't just return it because it was damaged0

I genuinely had no clue it was damaged, considering I hadn't even unboxed it fully. How would I prove that though? As I say, I did contact them within an hour of receiving it (which would be verifiable from the tracking details), saying that it wasn't suitable and I wanted to return it. I would have no reason to lie about that of course (otherwise I could simply have said I received it damaged), and I don't think they doubt this. They probably assume I damaged it at some point after that, or at the very least it was my responsibility to check it thoroughly for damage the moment I received it. But again, as mentioned, I knew the sink wasn't the right size without even unboxing it fully, so why would I have done that and risk scratching it etc? No win situation it would seem!
