How do you give your ds peas and brocolli? Are they cooked and given as they are or do you mix them with something? Nice chart by the way, thanks for sharingDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

Hi there,
I got one each for ds and dd last week from Woolworths, one pink, one blue for £1.
They are quite small, ds's (9) is to go inside a larger soft lunch bag, dd's (6) will fit almost all of her lunch in.
They have 3 compartments in each.
Leigh xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
Total £560 -

Thanks and you're welcome!
The peas would be fresh in pods from the garden (in season of course). It's the only way he'll eat peas. At the moment he won't eat broccoli at all, but if he asks for it I'll probably save some steamed from dinner and give it to him cold on its own.
That's one of the reasons I wanted a lunchbox with compartments, so that I can separate stuff out. I don't want him not eating something because it's become 'contaminated' with something else he's decided he doesn't like.
There're quite a few things on there he won't eat yet, but I'm hoping this method will prompt him to try some of them.0 -
DH has a 1l lock and lock box like item D in this picture
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!11217_11218
but it only has 3 compartments, although I'm sure you can fit little baby food pots inside the compartments to give you more options. Lock and lock are quite easy for small kids to open because of the chunky locking mechanisms.
DD had the cube for nursery and it worked well until the hinge broke.
I've just bought a laptop lunchbox for DS who is just about to start yr1. He's had a nightmare at football daycamp today as he couldn't open it and the coach, obviously not familiar with such sophisticated lunchboxes, opened it upside down and pasta went everywhere! I'm hoping for better results tomorrow after 30min practicing opening and shutting said lunchbox (DS not the football coach!) Just in case I have wrapped the inner compartment in clingfilm.
Thanks for the chart and good luck with your lunchbox search!I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -

Valid until 31st jan 2008.Says "can be exchanged for items by mail order or through lakeland stores. It cannot at this time be redeemed online".So you either send thevoucheroff with your order through the post or There is a coupon code you give,if ordering over the phone..No minimum spend-ps she gave it to me.Ie this is free money. I requested the catalogue over the phone but you can request one online.

Talking of which, DH tells me someone's having problems downloading the lunchbox menu. Because it has an apostrophe.
Anyway, if you read this, pm me and I'll email you a copy in a different format.0 -
They sell the exact lunch cube in Matalan if its easier to get to than Lakeland + no p&p. I orginally bought one from Lakeland & the hinge broke & replaced it with the matalan one. I also got some little screw top pots from my local £1 shop which are ideal for yogurt from the big tub & Homous/dips etc.
