Can i use my nectar points to buy argos/amazon gift cards in store?

Was wondering is it possible to use my nectar card points in sainsburys to purchase a gift card preferably Amazon or Argos? I've called a few stores and some say it is not possible while some say it shouldn't be an issue?? i'm really confused haha :p

  • I work on the checkouts in a Sainsbury's, and you can definitely pay for a giftcard with your Nectar points. In fact I bought a £25 Amazon giftcard myself about a month ago with Nectar points.
  • So i just present my nectar card and they will accept? :p

    Put the gift card in the same transaction as your regular shopping, they can't tell what the points are spent on
