Hudl 2 not charging

Does this sound like the charging port is broken.

When I plug the charger in the led goes red then I get a red battery icon with a red exclamation mark.

Nope. not likely a charger problem (though you should plug in a mobile phone to the charger to ensure it's working).

It could be your battery has died. Rather than repair, you could go for the new amazon Fire Tablet going for £45. that;s about how much it will cost to replace the battery on your Hudl
  • Think there is aknown issue with Hudl2s not charging. A factory reset seemed to fix mine. Worth a try if your going to ditch it
  • I've tested the charger on my other hudl and the charger is working fine.

I've only had the tablet 4 months so I've contacted Tesco and they are saying it's the charger so they will send me a new one when I find the receipt.

You have to wonder if they actually listen to what they are told or just go through a checklist of actions regardless.

I hope you kept the receipt.

My hudl often has a funny five minutes where the android indicator says its charged, but the device cuts out without warning. It shows tje red battery indicator when plugged in. Leaving it plugged in to the charger for a few hours usually resolves it

Or, if you are quick, you could get the Connect 8" Tablet, from Tesco, for £69.
