This is something that we currently get at a discount.
We have just received a letter saying our discount is ending.
As my brother is moving out in a few months, I wish to take on the entire broadband, phone line etc. in my own name and am thinking of taking out a new contract with a different supplier.
If my brother still wants BT Sport, can we still get it if our broadband and phone line are not with BT (at the moment our TV package is with Sky)?

We're with Sky and yes you can add BT Sport to Sky
You just ring them up and ask them to add it on.
Not sure if there's a minimum term you need to sign up for or if you can just cancel it when your brother moves out0 -

We have Sky TV at the moment, but our broadband and line rental are with BT and the cost for BT Sport is paid to BT (which is why I assumed it had nothing to do with Sky).
I intend to go with someone completely different for broadband and line rental (I will look through MSE and see which is best), but wasn't sure how to keep BT Sport if we are not keeping any of the other BT services.
So, I can get brother to ring up Sky and get it added that way?Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

You can still have BT Sport if you go with another provider, just need to tell them to include BT Sport in the package (I'm not 100% sure but it might be only Sky and Virgin you can get it with)
I assume when your brother moves out you would want to loose the BT Sport? (Sorry if I've got that wrong and you like watching sports)

Yes, I don't want BT Sport - or Sky for that matter. He pays for Sky and it's all in his name.
When he moves out, I will look at an alternative TV provider, but at the moment only looking to do broadband and line rental as this is the one that is running out in a couple of days.
I don't want to renew my contract with BT as there are some good deals out there. But BT say they will charge a £6.75 out of contract fee (don't know if this is standard, but sounds unfair). I wouldn't mind sticking with BT until brother moves out and then do everything then, but then have to pay this extra charge for a few months.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

When does your contract end .
Presume its at a discounted price and if you wish to continue outside of this discount that's ended its a new price .Thats fair and normal at the end of the contract it will move to a 30 day rolling contract .Or you simply move to another ISP .0 -
Just a thought but as you say you don't want sky at all why do you need a new Tv provider?
Just have the freeview channels that come with your tv.
I never had sky and would get rid of it tomorrow. But when my boyfriend moved in he insisted on it. Men!
You could just have broadband and home phone. Much cheaper!0
