So is it worth getting Chromecast or Amazon Fire to access Netflix?0

Actually the latest beta for the Humax Freetime devices does have Netflix as one of the On Demand services.0

So is it worth getting Chromecast or Amazon Fire to access Netflix?
I'm sick of being unable to connect to the chromecast from my phone - the amazon fire stick just works when I turn it on
The only annoyance is that Chromecast will power itself from a TVs USB port, but the Fire stick needs more juice, and you have to plug it into a (provided) usb power adaptor.0 -
Buy a subscription to netflix for £5 from ebay.
Mine lasted 8 months before disconnecting.0 -

I got an email from Humax -Thank you for offering to take part in Freesat trials. We are very grateful for your help to make Freetime even better. We’ll be trialling some new software and Netflix on the Humax Freetime HB1000s.
In order to take part in this trial you will need to install a software update on your Freetime box. To do this all you will need is a spare USB memory stick and access to a computer with an internet connection. Currently Freesat’s parental PIN control for some of the on-demand services is not compatible with this software update. If you rely on this feature please do not take part in the trial...
Will be doing the install procedure later today on the bedroom box - the living room one has just popped it's clogs (at least as far as recording goes).
The Firestick connected to the bedroom TV is only powered via the TV USB port and is working well. It's a great piece of kit which works seamlessly even though we are in a remote rural area and only have a max of 2mb of broadband.0 -
