Extended Used Car Warranty Refund

Hi everyone,
I purchased my first used car in October 2014 (4 year old car at the time) and due to my planned high mileage I was persuaded to purchase a 3 year extended warranty (around £800).
Fast forward 12 months, my circumstances have changed and now I'd now like to obtain a refund. I haven't claimed on the warranty during this time.
Could anybody give me any insight into the consumer's rights in regards to obtaining a pro-rata refund on extended warranties directly relating to motor vehicles?
The Supply of Extended Warranties on Domestic Electrical Goods Order 2005 gives you the right to cancel a warranty if the duration of that warranty is for more than a year. However, it seems that this wouldn't apply to motor vehicles.
Any advice on my rights to cancel this extended warranty would be much appreciated.

Are there any refund "rights" mentioned in the warranty ts + cs?
If not your only (slim) chance is to see if they will make a goodwill gesture in light of your changed circs over this.0 -

There is no legal requirement for cancellation rights outside the initial cancellation period.
So, you are reliant on the product itself having cancellation terms within the contract. If does, then they will apply. If it doesnt then you get no refund.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
