I had a question yesterday on one of my most popular listings asking for a discount if they paid immediately, they also mentioned their feedback showed they paid quickly and were a good buyer, and mentioned I probably needed to clear my stock before Christmas so they were doing me a favour.
This is a very popular item, in fact I often run out of stock- it is a GTC and shows sales in the hundreds and it has nothing at all to do with Christmas, it is also immediate payment required so all my buyers pay instantly. I emailed politely saying that I could not offer a discount- and then I checked buyers feedback. As she said it was high as a buyer , well into 3 figures but when I checked feedback left for others she leaves very little, but when she does she only leaves negatives. Her entire page of feedback left is red, she doesn't like item, item was lost, seller is scum, item wasn't new as claimed etc etc.
I have now blocked her as well, just in case

Don't you just love the gall of some buyers! It's a shame we can't give negative feedback to buyers anymore to warn others of eBay numpties. At least the block function is still an option.
Makes you wonder what these people are like in real life.Sealed pot challenge: number 0830 -
I find idiot buyers putting their heads above the parapet with daft questions are a great way to add to the blocked bidder list.
I add around 10 a day, from idiotic questions, txt speak, poor manners, or just pie in the sky requests. I think I'm going to exceed my blocked bidder list maximum within the next 6 months...
As you can say, all you can do it block them, but the pre-sale questions are often very revealing, and it gives you a chance to check them out.0 -

Being able to leave a neg for a buyer is unhelpful and pointless, as most the time you wouldn't see their feedback until after they had bought.
It would be more useful to be able to block buyers where over 25% (for example) of their feedback left for others is negative. That way you can block those who perhaps leave an unnaturally high percentage of negs.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
How big IS the blocked bidders list anyway?
I on,y have a couple of recent additions to it, most are from years ago (and all but one NARU, amusingly!)

I'm getting thoroughly fed up of so many people making me offers outside of eBay .0

Oh, my best idiotic low-ball offer request! I was selling a limited edition makeup item. 3 years old, very rare, sought after. So I had some chancer (or maybe they really were that clueless?) message me to say that I should sell it to them for half the price it was up for, because it was old and no longer made, and I should therefore sell it to them for much less than it had originally retailed for. What part of limited edition did they not understand?!
I blocked them and sold it for my original price 10 days later

They've watching too many bargain hunts.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
