Hi.. I had AIP from halifax a few week ago, my broker submitted full application yesterday and I can see a hard search from halifax for "First Mortgage"... Does that mean the application is seen by underwriter? If yes, jow long does it take for them to progress to offer?
Also, majority of people in this forum who have successfully received offers were not harfd searched by Halifax, is that common?
Thanks

It means it has been seen by a computer. Also, majority of people in this forum who have successfully received offers were not harfd searched by Halifax, is that common?
They were all hard searched by Halifax before formal offer. If they thought they weren't they were wrong.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks amnblog. Now, as I have passed the hard search, how many percent of halifax applications go to underwriter for manual check?0

Also, at which stage Halifax instruct survey?0

As soon as the application is submitted the system instructs the valuer when the broker route is used.I am a mortgage broker. We submitted our full application to Halifax a couple of weeks ago (via a broker)
Halifax then came back and asked for more documents from my partner (I think because he doesn't bank with Halifax)
They had everything last week
Still not heard about the valuation/survey yet0 -
We applied and paid for the survey on 27th November, so 2.5 weeks now0

Thanks chelseablue. Did you see a hard search from Bank of Scotland? I am very confused, I got a hard search the day my application was submitted and valuation is not instructed (but got the hard search).
Perhaps thats how my broker works with Halifax?
