Instant New Bank Account?

Hi, mum needs to open up a new bank account to act as a 'pot'.
She banks with Santander, Barclays and Nationwide and would, ideally, like the account to be with one of these 3.
We want to be able to open the account over the phone and have the account details immediately.
She is not set up for online banking.
Has anyone any recommendations please?
thanks

Savings account run alongside any of the main accounts and as for instant well it will not be there and then if done in writing or in branch, I opened savings accounts within minutes but do all my banking online so it takes no time at all. One of my accounts is Santander also with a savings account.0

If you really want to do things fast, set up for online banking at last. This doesn't mean that she has to use it on a regular basis.0 -
A 'pot' doesn't look like anything that urgent to me.

Thank you...
Mum is nearly 90 and is too anxious for online banking.
We are applying for attendance allowance and she wants to keep it separate from 'her' money. It's what makes her feel comfortable.
I'm just looking to see if we can make life a bit easier for her.

does she trust you enough to allow you to set up and operate 'her' online banking?
Or do you already have an LPA in place? The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
I believe it is possible to open an account on ghe phone, and have account details immediately. It depends on the bank. If they don't provide it immediately, wait for a letter within a few days withe the details on it.0
