With the share price being on a downward spiral for over two years while the rest of the market has been quite bullish, last few months excluded; does anyone else believe like me that one of the American giants might swoop if the price hits 180-190 region?
British pharmaceutical company Allergan was recently absorbed by Pfizer for, what looks like, tax savings; I'm thinking the same thing could happen here.
Anyone out there share my thoughts.

I think its possible but from all accounts CNA is turning a corner and there seems to be a real opportunity here for capital growth and a decent divi. I think it has now pretty much bottomed out and the new structure will begin to deliver for the company. BUYFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

British Gas is always going to be exposed to political risk. Using it as tax saving vehicle probably isn't therefore to be recommended.0

Hasn't every resource share been on a downward spiral for the last two years? Any of them could be a takeover target but I think the last thing any resource company wants right now is more resouces; plus they are all strapped for cash e.g. Glencore.0
