Indesit DIF16M1 dishwasher problems

Help Please!
We've had the above integrated Dishwasher bought and fitted by our kitchen fitters 6/12 ago.
Glasses have never been clean. They always seem to have small traces of food (not the salt traces you find when you add too much salt). The other dishes are fine. The problem is less when you have it on a longer cycle, but still present. I clean both filters every wash but there are still traces
I use Finish tabs recommended by indesit. I topped up the salt and rinse agent as recommended in the manual.
I phoned up Indesit but tbh they were more interested in flogging the extended warranty. They did however recommend using the professional dishwasher cleaning powder. Which i did and it hasn't made a difference. They have said that if an engineer has to come round and there isnt a problem, there will be a £100 charge so im a bit unsure about where to go now.
Out last dishwasher was 20 years old and didnt do this?
Is this normal? Is there too much salt? I want to make sure i have done everything i can before I call indesit again?

Might be worth trying a maintenance wash. That is, run on the hottest temperature setting without any dirty dishes in.
Could also be worth trying different tablets. I've used Fairy platinum and Aldi's Which? approved [sorry, can't remember their name] to good effect on my Beko dishwasher over the last couple of years."I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by."0 -
Is it just glasses or anything in the top rack? The usual causes are top spray arm not rotating or blocked jets in said spray arm.
Check the holes in the spray arms for grains of rice etc then give the top arm a spin after loading to make sure nothing's in the way.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Thanks
Have cleaned the arms thoroughly. Have tried different tablets. Fairy and finish
It's only glasses and its wherever they are in the dishwasher.
Done maintenance wash with cleaner
Nothing works.0 -
So if other things get clean anywhere in the dishwasher, & glasses don't get clean anywhere in the dishwasher, the only conclusion is the glasses are the problem!
There are loads of reasons why you'd get cloudy glasses in a dishwasher but I can't think of any reason why there'd be food traces left.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
