Hi,

I am 22 years old and have bad credit. As I regrettably let friends use my name to get things, which they never paid. I am at the point now where I get declined for pretty much everything. I would like a credit card but unable to due to poor credit . Any advice on how I can improve.

Use your name?! How do you know it's just unpaid debts/defaults, not something more serious like fraud?

If you are declined for everything, you are unlikely to get a credit card - and why do you need it?

What exactly 'anything' was it? Sim-only basic mobile contract? Store card(s)? Basic bank accounts?
