My travel insurance was due for renewal and i have been in hospital twice in the last 12 months with my crohns, we are off to disney in florida then a cruise down to mexico ,quotes for worldwide insurance just for 2 weeks were coming out at between £740 --£1100.
then got in touch with insurance choice who quoted £229 for a single trip, asked them how much for annual and they came back with £279 so booked it. the insurance company is called TOKIO MARINE very thorough with medical questions but worth it.

You can travel without cover for that condition if you don't anticipate it being something which would necessitate a claim during your holiday. I used to deal with medical claims for people who'd had cancer in last 5 years and they were paying out hundreds in extra insurance premium for no reason.
Unless you think it's likely you'll have to have emergency medical treatment as a result of any condition then it's probably not worth paying the extra for. The only thing you shouldn't take any risk with is things related to heart/circulation. Anything else, as long as you're sure it's not going to result in emergency in-patient treatment, then just decline to have that specific condition (and anything related) covered.0
