Co-operative home insurance - renewal? To cancel or just to switch?

face-t

I'll be switching Co-op insurance this year as loyalty is going to cost me this year dozen %s more than last year
I'm wondering do I need to cancel anything or just need to move on.
Every year I pay full amount on a day 1
On renewal documents it says

I didn't know my mum was on here!
She is in the same position with the same letter. As far as we know she hasn't arranged a continuous payment and, having received a letter with the same wording as last year, she won't be contacting them. A like for like quote elsewhere for around £70 less means it is a no brainer decision!0 -
Always worth phoning to see if they'll match the quote you've had from elsewhere. Often they will, then you don't have to bother switching.
From that wording, it looks like it's not on auto-renew, but I always phone to double check (with all my insurances). Worth a two minute phone call to make sure you don't have to worry about it.0
