Dear MSEs,
Today, MPs discussed issues relating to housing with the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
Affordable housing
What assessment he has made of the adequacy of Government investment in affordable housing.
What steps his Department is taking to (a) support shared ownership and (b) help people to buy a home.
Rented housing
What assessment he has made of trends in the number of homes built for social rent since 2010.
What plans he has to tackle landlords who knowingly rent out unsafe and sub-standard accommodation.
Flood damage
What steps he is taking to ensure that new developments do not affect the risk of flooding to existing properties.
