Unoccupied property insurance recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a company for basic property insurance at a reasonable price please?

I understand that most offer 3, 6, 9, 12 month policies and others will give full a pro rata refund if the policy is canceled.

They are an option and I know a few brokers who use them as their preferred choice.

Generally on a short term policy for an unoccupied policy there is no return premium if you cancel the contract before it expires.

You would want to see about transferring it to a let property or a standing building insurance.

Unoccupied insurance generally restricts the cover to FLEA only (Fire, Lightning, Earthquake, Aircraft) Claims for malicious damage and escape of water are generally excluded.

Thanks but they seem expensive. Their cheapest quote for basic Level 1 cover was £434 dropping to £382 with £1000 voluntary excess. Already been quoted £281 but awaiting paperwork to compare details.
