Hi
I need to purchase a laptop for work purposes as I am a Freelance Trainer.
It needs a good battery life, not to big a laptop so it is easy for me to carry around in a bag, I need to have Microsoft office on it, I need to be able to use a USB, hook it up to a projector, have wifi access and Internet....
I would really appreciate some ideas as I am not really up to speed with what laptops are best for this.
Many thanks in advance
Sarah

What is your budget? I would say battery life is the most important criteria for your use.0

I don't really want to spend any more that £3000

Here's a couple to give you an idea:
It's a 13inch which is great for lugging around however £50 over budget but has a very long battery life. I personally prefer a smaller and lighter laptop for travelling business use. Note it does not come with a cd/dvd drive but IMO cd/dvd drives are now going obsolete and takes up space and adds weight.

alternatively at £300 as 15.6 inch laptop with i5 processor.

Buy a laptop with at least an i3 processor, avoid celerons.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
You don't really need anything special in your case. Just ensure it's a sturdy machine (that rules out Packard Bell and HP crap) and has a decent battery life and typing keyboard (rules Lenovo and Medion crap)
A 13-15" lappy isn't going to be too big or heavy. You can get Office 365 on a yearly subscription if you don't want to pay £130 up front for Office 2016.
Any laptop will let you use a USB, hook it up to a projector, have wifi access and Internet.
Another thing to look at is if your projector supports HDMI and VGA. If it's the latter, then you'll need to get a laptop with a VGA connection as well. This narrows you down as most new laptops only support HDMI.0 -
Lenovo ThinkPad L440 @ £300

May not delivery battery requirement, but it is on budget and sturdy
Reviews (the £300 machine above have slower CPU, but it will enough for office work)

You can buy a brand new i3 laptop for £250 or less if you look hard enough.
