  • Morning, (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) if you need one.

I was sad to see Anita go last night, The judges seems to feel that Anton deserves a shot at 'the big one' this is the first half decent partner he has had, although I cannot stand the woman, she is so false. I would like to see anyone but her win. Its going to be a tough battle.

My sewing room is looking better, off in a minute to make up the bed, sheets etc are in the machine to wash tonight, Monday clean to do and then make a ring of scone and put a loaf on, we finished the last one at lunch time yesterday.

Its another dull morning, looks wet, but the fencing chaps are here, they are going to do the fence on the other side of the garden. They had better keep their plates of meat off my plants or else!!

Elona, I hope the new bungalow you are going to look at meets your needs and you can get on and move. Its awful being in limbo and not know whats going on.

We have visitors coming for a cup of tea this afternoon, better go and get on, cheers for now.
  • Good morning chums a bit damp and grey at the moment outside. Off to Book club this morning for Christmas coffee and cakes etc. Then round to let the dogs out for DD and raise my DGS Ben who hopefully is catching up with his sleep.I shall make him a big brunch as he is as skinny as a rake and needs stoking up a bit:):)
Tonight I am taking him to the cinema to see the Bridge of Spies the Tom Hanks film.I have a CEA ticket so it will only be the cost of one ticket between the two of us.He is feeling very low at the moment as his young lady has gone off to her Grandpa's to visit and he may not see her until January. So he needs lots of TLC and food :):):)

Tomorrow I am off to see my friend in Dartford and hopefully she will have the wedding photo's from last months wedding.
Very busy week this week as its DGS Ben's 20th birthday on Wednesday and my youngest DDs 46th birthday on Saturday. All go this week with lots of functions to go to.Good job I have no more shopping to buy
Have a good day everyone and keep wrapped up warm

    Hi everyone,

TA, I had one of my back teeth rebuilt from virtually nothing a couple of years ago and it's still going strong (touch wood). I think it needs a dentist with a bit of patience and skill (my old dentist wouldn't have been able to do it) but I'd hold out for a repair rather than removal unless there is something else wrong.

    Have a good trip MrsLW.

DH has hurt his back, it's really strange as he very rarely has anything incapacitating and I know it's horrid of me but part of me is glad that he's now experiencing a little bit of what I go through to keep mobile on a lot of days. Mind you, he's still in bed so not a lot of keeping mobile at the moment.

I have to take the car to be looked at this morning because someone shunted us at a roundabout on Friday. It seems to be very minor damage but it's only 3 months old so we want it returned to as new condition. The bloke who hit us seemed to think we were making a fuss about nothing because there was no damage to his car!

Whilst shuffling the cars about this morning hubby went into Youngests car causing damage to his own and damage to Youngests car.

    I don't understand why it's Youngests fault....apparently.

Jesus wept! Someone give me some chocolate!

  • Good morning all! Hugs to those that need/want one.

Hope you're all doing well today. I'm nursing a bit of a headache (wine induced) from celebrating Christmas a bit early with our theatre group. The wine was drunk the night before with my girlie friends but this headache will not go :( It was nice wine though...

Bit of a quieter day at work for me today - lots of admin to do but its ok - I can work through this at my pace.
No idea what to do for tea today, I'm out of veg at the moment :( maybe a Pasta dish then....

    Have a good day all

Having a quiet morning and need to go shopping later as middle dd is coming over this evening and fancies a healthy version of enchiladas.

I really should get around to some hand sewing as there is a voile curtain to shorten and at least one patchwork cushion to sew for dds.

    The Christmas market sounds wonderful.

Youngest dd is going to be here for three days at Christmas :j and a couple of dds are coming over on Saturday to put up the tree.

Tried to order turkey online but site did not seem to work. Either I get nothing or three lots of meat  It will be interesting to find out.

Tried on my new trousers yesterday (which I bought a couple of months ago and were too small) and they fit. They are from tkmaximus and an American designer that were originally £100 reduced to £20 .

    Hugs to all

  • Afternoon all
Just finished work, hubby finishes soon
He's been asked to open the school at 6 on Wednesday, so a very early start and he's Father Christmas that day, so won't finish until gone 6.
Time I set off to collect hubby.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Good afternoon everyone,

:jOnly 4 more days to go before we have 2 weeks off.

I've been prepping for the Christmas dinner on Wednesday, we have peeled potatoes, and sliced the turkeys, so just the veg to prep tomorrow and to finalise numbers.

Lots of end of term stuff to do as well, so the next few days will be busy.

I have washing on the airers to iron this evening, and the washing basket seems to be full again:rotfl:

I still haven't put any decorations up and I must write my Christmas cards, and sort out the remaining presents and get them sent off by the end of the week. I am getting there. It is just odd that DH isn't around to help out at the moment.

I was very surprised that Anton went through on Sunday night, as Anita's routine was amazing. I have to say though that I am voting for Kellie and Kevin as I think he is brilliant but very unassuming and this is his third consecutive year in the final, so he deserves a shot at winning.

Not sure what to make for dinner yet, I have loads of food in so will go and decide.

    Have a good evening everyone.
