To work setting up stages in Brazil-Insurance required beyond 90 days

My son has work in Brazil setting up stages and figures he will be away until May but no fixed dates just yet. Insurance I have looked at is for 90 days maximum. He says the companies have insurance when he is working. Any help with getting insurance for periods exceeding the 90 day cut off. Maybe cover for work which is deemed to be risky. Thank you for your help. Gedbet

start with the backpackers-type insurance like WorldNomads0

Firstly, he needs to know exactly what is covered by the insurance his employer provides. Will there be any periods in between projects when this will not apply?
Secondly, the single-trip travel insurance sold by HSBC can be for trips longer than 90 days and can be extended to cover business trips. However, I doubt if any travel insurance would cover the risks involved in any kind of manual labour, which this sound like. So these risks (which might well be covered by the employer) would have to be excluded, so you would need to telephone the insurer to explain the situation.0 -
From what I've seen on here previously WorldNomads are expensive but do offer the ability to extend or start insurance from outside the UK, which most insurers don't allow. If your son doesn't think that will happen then he may well find cheaper cover from other backpacker insurers, I used Endsleigh for my 4 month trip to SE Asia.0
