I guess you mean a USB lead, they are standard and available almost everywhere, Maplins etc.
  • lol plug and play lead.

just go B&M and get a USB lead
  • A lot of printers/scanners tend to use USB A-B cables. These are the ones with a square plug on one end and a standard, rectangular one on the other end. I needed to get one after buying a HP printer recently. I suspect that this is what you need.

    I think Tesco sell them.

Just so that hp don't get a slating none of the printer manufacturers ship cables with their printers, the idea behind it is to stop people who change their printer often ending up with a drawer full of cables. Most people are upgrading so they already have a cable it is only those buying a printer for the first time that need to buy a cable.
It also saves the manufacturer money but the other reason is the better one.

Most places sell them, some like PC world sell very expensive ones £15 other places like the pound shops sell them for £1 so don't go to PC world. robbing bassas
  • You say you got it from Morrisons - my local has a free package of stuff with the printer (HP everyday kit - usually £19.99). It includes a couple of ink cartridges, some paper and a USB cable for the printer. I'd take it back and complain about why you didn't get one.
