Okay I apologise if this is in the wrong thread but I don't really use forums.
Okay I'm a 26 year old male who's debt free and planning on buying a house next year. I use these cashbook sites quite a lot and find little nifty ways of trying to save money and what-not. Does anyone know if signing up to gambling sites and taking advantage of these signs up bonuses they offer is a bad idea credit wise? People state that they are only bad if you regularly debit them...but I just plan on getting the benefit per each site and not using them again....I reckon it's probably a bad idea........but i wanted to actually find out
Thanks

Using a prepaid card (not a debit card) or Paypal should mean that you're not exposing your bank account to gambling transactions.
Do you have any credit at all? A lack of credit history may not help you in getting a mortgage.💙💛 💔0 -
There's a dedicated matched betting forum here. You're 10 years late to the party though, all the cake has gone, just salad left.0

I'm pretty sure major betting sites do some sort of credit check, not sure if it's soft and hidden from lenders (most likely is)
Most sign up bonuses suck and you need to earn high amount from bonuses to cash it out. Read the terms of those offers before hand!0 -
Its soft, unless you're doing spread betting.
OK, as mods probably won't move this I'll offer my advice from 10 years of doing it.
1) get a new bank account, a visa card is a must nowadays. Some sites take PayPal and offer bonuses, some don't. Betfair charges for PayPal deposits. Skrill is a very useful account to have, although very few UK books now offer bonuses with a skrill deposit, bet365, coral and will hill do ATM but check terms before signing up.
2) get your ID sorted, scan of passport or driving licence. If you have neither of these you'll be stuffed come withdrawal time. You'll also need them to increase paypal and skrill limits.
3) Use the matched betting forum, there are very good calculaters for laying, Dutching and Asian handicaps. There are some very experience people on there.
4) my own tip, if you want accounts to last, never arb and constantly take beat value. Bet365 is the best account you'll ever have, mines 9 years old so look after it.
5) The days of making £2000 a month for a year or more for an hour a week are long gone, after initial sign ups it just ticks over, don't be tempted to try and mug punt offers or spend more time than needed. No point spending half an hour to find a match that will pay out £1 more from a £50 bonus, spend time with the family, mbing is a lonely game otherwise.
For some books, like coral, victor, sportingbet the best offers are usually March and June time, and when a major footy competition is on. Don't take a £10 offer when £50 or more is often available.
That will get you started for now.0 -
