For our sins, we have purchased two of these
http://www.diy.com/departments/komet-spherule-chrome-effect-20-lamp-pendant-ceiling-light/177145_BQ.prd
to hang in our (solid roofed) conservatory.
Now the search for light bulbs begins
Mrs J B has decided that she wants dimmable and clear bulbs, but we can't find any in LED
Each one needs 20 bulbs so 40 in total - if we have 'ordinary' ones at 18w = 720w total which is too much for one circuit etc etc (more electrician's work)
Anyway, can anyone find us
Small Screw (SES) (E14)
Golf ball
LED
Dimmable
Clear, (not frosted or with a white plastic base).
Please

You'll be hard pressed to find many totally clear LED bulbs (apart from clear front spot/downlight ones) - the "frosting" of the glass evens out the primarily point light sources of the LED element.
However, there are some newer "filament" style LED bulbs which do have clear glass in a "retro" style. You need a lot so it won't be cheap - but there is a 4 pack here;

HOWEVER - they aren't dimmable. Failed to find anything that meets all your requirements, clear AND dimmable is the problem, sometime things just don't exist.... even elstimpo doesn't have any on his site
FWIW, 720w won't overload a lighting circuit on it's own - typically rated at 6A that's 1.4Kw for the entire circuit, and generally you'll have at least one circuit for upstairs & one down. Plus, just when do you have every single light on a circuit on at the same time....0 -

Sorry link was to refer to E14 being dimmable. I have found these on ebay but not sure if wattage is suitable.

The review on the B&Q page appears to use Halogen bulbs0 -
It might be cheaper to gift the lights to the wife and divorce her0

for what it's going to cost to put in LED lamps and the amount of time it will take to recoup your costs, and not withstanding the fact that LED lamps will ruin the look of that fitting, just put normal clear golf ball lamps in. use 40w or 25w ones on a normal dimmer (also much cheaper than an LED dimmer).
the amount of electric that light bulbs use is minimal compared to other items in the house such as tumble driers, kettles, washing machines, dishwashers etc.0 -
