How to post a tablet computer

Hi
I want to sell a 8" tablet, boxed through Ebay but not sure if i need to post it in a box or large jiffy bag.

Would it be also worth taking out insurance when using Royal Mail?
It will be sold for around £80

Thanks

When I sent a tablet in for recycling recently I put it in the original box, then a jiffy, then a cardboard sleeve.

I think only Special Delivery will cover you for that amount.

Always pack as though item is likely to be dropped from waist height onto a concrete floor. As for insurance, that is up to you of course, if it gets lost are you happy to write off that sort of amount?

Have a read of the sticky postage thread.

As above the drop test and drop a heavy weight on it. Thats likely to happen when its being transported.

Look in a delivery van and see all the fragile stickered items under a pile of other boxes.

As above, if it can be broken then it will be. Months ago I sold one of those Nat West pig money boxes. By the time I had wrapped it in bubble wrap and layers of cardboard, it was the size of a large microwave.
