Hi,

I have a appointment for this Friday, and am confused what this entails.

I am registered blind and receive ESA and DLA.

I have been registered blind since December 2005, and from memory have had only one appointment.

It is also asking for financial documents, such as bank statements etc.

Have they changed their rules recently, and is this a new yearly check up,

If you've done nothing wormg then i wouldn't worry about it. It's just to check you're getting the right benefits.

its a random thing.
they pull names 'out of a hat' and check that the correct benefits at the correct rate are in payment.

its as much a check on their own systems as anything else
