Ex boss mocks me in public - Advice needed

  • Download their annual report from the Charity Commission. Find out who funds them. If they have a contract with the local authority, you are there! Report this behaviour to their FUNDERS, stating that this leads you to have serious concerns about the charity.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • They are self funding I'm afraid hence the £10,000 loss every year. All their income comes from the charity shop. I'm afraid the chairperson has thought of everything to get away with what they do.
  • As far as I can see I haven't identified the charity.

I would agree, given the terms and clues I could find nada. You obviously pre-emptied the query.

If they are loosing £10k per year and are relying on the £100k donation to keep them afloat, then I guess it win't be long before they are in serious financial trouble.

If the charity deals with young persons under the age of 18, I'd be very tempted to use CrimeStoppers website to annonymously report the Chairman's pead0 son for having a position that allows him access to minors.

Trust me on this, the Police take a very dim view of this and the son could well end up with either a tag or a prison sentence.

How do I know this?. Well, my b-in-l was convicted last year, but having been banned by his probation officer from visiting the local library to use their computers for job hunting, he decided to go 'off radar' and use libraries in other towns.
He was banned from areas were children might go, but that did not stop him going to the seaside.
I got hacked-off with his attitude and used crimestoppers to report him. He now wears a GPS tracker tag on his ankle.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

I'd have to say that you are wasting your time reporting anything to the Charity Commissioners unless you have evidence of criminal activity in relation to the business of the charity - and most often even that doesn't get anywhere either. Contrary to popular opinion the Charity Commission are not in fact a regulatory body, and their investigative powers are very limited.

Jobbingmusician is right - the way to hit a charity are through their funders. If you can't do that, then they are pretty insulated from most things you could do, unless they deal directly with vulnerable clients.
  • I find behaviour like this very intimidating. Myself, i keep a diary of bullying and harassing behaviour- if you see any online abuse take screen shots also- or if you can record the incidents with smartphone that would be a good reference as well. Because what if it starts getting worse? They actually sound quite vile, god.. what 'charity' are they actually running....these people

I haven't edited the post at all.
  • If it was me and it happened in a shop I'd be tempted to find a something smelly in a bottle or easy access tin and pour it over the persons head.
  • I watched a programme last night about how the corporate psychopath works and almost everything they said fitted her. She lies, she manipulates, she threatens anyone who doubts her or stands up for themselves, she calls the police and accuses people she doesn't like, she's the martyr always going on about how ill she feels but soldiers on and everyone thinks she's great, she does charity work for free so how can she possibly be a psychopath?, she's outwardly charming to the local press and other organisations even the police, she's above the law, she's very chatty and has good social skills but underneath is callous. They said the corporate psychopath will go a long way before they get found out and then it's too late.

I reported the child !!!!!! on her sons DBS check to safeguarding a couple of days ago. They went there to question them. She denied all knowledge of anything on the DBS check then gave him the speech about "I'm so ill and I just do this to help people to make their lives better". He didn't ask to see the DBS check as he said he doesn't have the authority to look at employees criminal records and he has to trust the discretion of the charity trustees and committe (which as I said in a previous post are all related to each other in some way so cover for each other). Then he phoned up and told me he was satisfied with what he found and basically said I was a liar.

No, I think they meant to say "pre-empted". And you didn't name them at all.

    Best wishes. x
