Hi
I came home from shopping tonight, and when putting shopping away I found a fajita kit at the back of the cupboard (spice mix, tortilla wraps and spice mix). Just the thing for dinner tomorrow night.
Now here's the problem. Everything looks fine, but the BBE date on them is April 2015.
Similarly, in the fridge I found some Mozzarella with a Use By date of 11th December.
Would you risk eating these, or bin them?

Don't see why not, sounds like a good meal
just give the cheese a sniff to check though0 -
Definitely eat them. The kit would be OK for donkeys' years, it'd just dull down in taste over that time.
If the mozzarella isn't going green or growing legs it's good to eat.0 -
Yup, I'd definitely eat them. For my dinner today I used beef mince that was two days out of date and I'm still alive and intend to be for quite a few years yet. I regularly use stuff that is out of date, including herbs and spices, flour, tins of stuff and things that have been in the freezer for longer than it says on the packet.0

I'd eat both unless they were green and walking out the kitchen on their own!0
