Anyone know if City Electrical Factor (CEF) still sell retail over the counter? I am sure they used to.. you just paid the vat
I can't even get a price of an item on the website without opening an account.
Or if anyone does have an account can you tell me the price of this item (ex vat) and possibly save me a trip? thankyou.

Everyone pays the VAT!!
You can still walk into any CEF outlet and they will serve you over the counter.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Thanks.
Still hoping someone can get me a price please, otherwise I can get online.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
Price will be dependent on the discount levels for the various product groups/type negotiated with your branch rep. No point me (or any account holder) giving you my price - it won't be what you pay....
It'll be less than £50 for that item - close enough?
Sorry, mucking about. guesstimate at around £25 +VAT. Do you really need it 4" x 2"?
BTW if you order online with CEF for delivery then minimum order is 3 lengths.....0 -

I realise different discounts would apply, but 5 to 15% either way doesn't bother me.
"Less than £50" doesn't really help i'm afraid as I can get from Wickes for £20 or an online wholesaler for £17.20 including delivery. One risks the courier the other is a bit of a trek and CEF is much nearer..European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -

Have revised as you were typing. £25 + VAT is gonna be pretty accurate. Bear in mind it's a 3m length, many are listed at Wickes etc as just 2m.0 -
And yes I need that size and 3M as I actually want it to tidy some pipework.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0

Wickes is 2m, not 3m;

True but would be enough, just less spare so I would have to cut it 'properly' square the first time not the second when I look at it and think that looks rough :rotfl:European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
