I'm sure they do mean e.g. (if you need to be pedantic).Don't they mean eg. John Lewis? This implies the only authorised retailer is John Lewis.
But if you click on the link 'An authorised retailer' you can get a list of 'authorised retailers' within a certain distance.
John Lewis is one of a number listed.0 -
There was a guy from trading standards on Breakfast Tv earlier talking about these sites. He was showing a film of the latest 'must have' food processors bursting into flames and reminding us, if it seems to be 'to good to be true' it probably is. He said as soon as they close any of these fake sites another will open tomorrow.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

And that's because people will look at a cheap price offer and believe it to be genuine. There was a guy from trading standards on Breakfast Tv earlier talking about these sites. when a company goes out of their way to tell you their legit retailers in detail and how to spot counterfeits, and you STILL decide to buy them for half the price off a random website you stumbled upon. I HAVE NO SYMPATHY.
As after all, you know better than the brand right?
On another note.
what on earth sounds legit about buying an X-BOX off a site called PENGUIN?0 -
Thanks Chuckley, very helpful. I never checked the Ugg website for their legitimate retailers. As I said, hindsights wonderful. Also, I don't see why a website called Penguin would not sell an Xbox, I'm obviously missing something, so care to explain?
I know this is no excuse, but I'm waiting on some biopsy results to see if I've got cancer again, so my minds been elsewhere, as you can imagine.
Goodness....all I wanted to do was help someone else from doing the same stupid thing as me. Wish I hadn't bothered now.0 -
