If you are talking about a DRO the official lines are that it can take up to 10 working days for a decision to be made, so I'd give it a few days yet0
-
Yes don't worry yet.
Are you sure your intermediary submitted the application on Wednesday. Have they heard anything yet?
I had one case recently where they asked me for extra info before accepting it0 -
I think they submitted it, I paid the £90, called them up, (this was on the 9th) they pulled up the online application form and went through it. Then they just said expect to hear within 10 days.. I was under the impression they submitted it whilst you were there with em on the phone, do they sometimes delay that?
Their offices are closed but I did manage to get somebody on their webchat who said there's a note on my file from 11/12/2015 saying the DRO is approved but he can't be sure if it means approved by Stepchange or approved by the IS.
I wish I could be sure, don't fancy another 2-3 days of stress it really is a killer.0 -

Well I'm CAB but that's what I would normally do - run through the application and the declarations, put my code in and submit. Then tell the client I'll probably contact him tomorrow but it sometimes takes a bit longer.
My guess is you'll be sorted by Monday.0 -
In my experience of referring to step change they sub,it immediately. There's nothing for them to approve, they just work as an intermediary for th insolvency service, so it sounds like the DRO is in place? You tried the register again?0
-
Still not on the register but I did receive my approval letter today :j must be unusual to get the letter first but I don't care about that right now, just relieved and happy.
Thanks wba and fatbelly for the valuable advice and information you provide here, it's worth its weight in gold to struggling people like me!
Eternally grateful.0 -
I would recommend that you call the DRO Unit (number on the approval letter) if you are not on the register. You can use that weblink as proof to your creditors of your DRO (if required)0

Yeah, good point. I'll chase that up tomorrow if I'm not there by then. Maybe they just didn't have time to do it over the weekend as my DRO was approved on Friday.0
