Barclays secure messaging not working

I rarely use my barclays account, but I've been trying to send them a non-urgent secure message from the internet banking for more than a week.

Everytime I try it says secure message service will be back shortly. Just wondering if it broken for everyone or just me.

  • Are you selecting anything on the options/reasons for the message.

    I found this issue with my Barclaycard, I was selecting the reason for my message "close my account", but it came up with the same message you are getting.

    I found the solution was to pick "other" in the option, the message then went through.
  • I was hovering the mouse under where my name is shown top right and selecting secure messaging, I didn't get to select a reason.
