Perfume scent in leather couch

Options
I bought a used leather couch that has a perfume scent. Is vinegar and water the best way to remove the odor? Thanks!

    I've been Money Tipped!
If that is all you can smell, I would be grateful.

Why not just let fresh air and time diminish it.

It could be so much worse!!
  • When we bought a new leather suite it came with a cleaning kit, that seemed to work well at getting the usual child and pet based odours that you get so it may be worth a try if you can pick one up from a furniture shop.

When the fluid in the cleaning kit ran out I just used some saddle soap; that also worked at getting things clean and fresh again; probably cheaper than the special kit as well. Used with a microfibre cloth so nothing too abrasive.

Unless you find the perfume smell really offensive why go to the effort just yet. Our suite was quite light in colour and I was surprised at how quickly it got dirty from just every day use so you may be cleaning it soon anyway.
