  • yeah but as im not studying a postgrad course i cant get that :S


    gotta say i disagree with it being fair.. but thats only my opinion. To me it just seems as though everyone should be entitled to ONE loan to support education. i mean fair enough, say no grants are allowed. but a loan is paid back anyway....

    Have double checked the emails from my LEA, and they definitely state I can claim for a course starting this September. However, I am classed as having a disability, and I studied for my first degree by distance learning because of my condition, so maybe I have qualified for funding because of that?

    Again, my experience of the Access to Learning Fund may differ because my application was not means assessed, but based on the additional costs that I have due to my condition (I have to have new books, on the rare occasion I had to attend I needed a taxi etc). However, there is a thread on here about the ALF, where people have got means tested funding. You may get some more inspiration from there?
