landlord has not pay me anything on the court order

i took my landlord to court because of non return of deposit
my landlord received a court order in August this year as the court order him to pay me £1800 but my landlord told me he was in an IVA and could only afford to pay by installments of £50 a month, but i do not agree with this and asked him to pay me £1800 by the deadline on the court order, but he still refused, what can i do now?

Contact his Insolvency Practitioner and ask to be added to his list of creditors? No idea whether that works but it only costs £8 to check the Insolvency Register and I am sure a quick call to the IP would tell you whether it would work.

Is he paying the £50 per month that he said he could afford?
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
  • Does he work in a job with payslips?? If so get "attachment of earnings" & get paid direct per month an amount by his employer..

If not, get a charge put against the property: He won't be able to sell it without paying you, & the debt will go up 8% pa. You might have a long wait.

Make sure he gets a CCJ so his life becomes difficult

i did Contact his Insolvency Practitioner but they said it was not part of the plan and it did not cover this kind of debt and could not help me and ask me to contact my landlord to sort it out with him directly
  • I suspect the LL needs to be reminded what happens when a tenants deposit wasn't protected. I assume it wasn't as he hasn't got it.

Did he protect your deposit in one of the three schemes?

If he owns property and you believe he has sufficient equity.
You can serve a Statutory demand, it costs £800 and gets added to his bill.
He has to pay in 28 days or he becomes bankrupt, assets are seized by the receiver and sold to pay his debts.

    One option.
