    If you move to a single rate tariff, for instance using aggregated meter reads, it could prove very expensive if you have storage heaters. E7 would be the correct tariff but would probably mean some wiring changes at your expense.

    There is not much incentive for SSE to bear the cost of converting houses to a 'conventional' metering system, and then seeing their customers switch to another supplier.
  • It's a shame that THTC is so vilified now, it seemed like such a good idea when it was introduced.
