ASDA Crawley/Smart Parking NtD

Hi all,
On 28 Nov, while shopping at ASDA Crawley, I got a £70 NtD from Smart Parking. I will fight this as the small side car park I parked into, had no signage (I got video footage to prove this), but looking at the NtD I spotted that they have the color of my car wrong: my car is baby blue and their NtD staes that my car is black. The Registration mark and all other details are correcrt.

Is this of any significance?

BTW, I wrote to the ASDA Crawley store manager () and cc'd the ASDA head office on 1st Dec., and send the letters 'Signed for'. A week and a half later, I have not received a reply from either...

the colour has been marked down as wrong , in the hope that you will ring and incriminate yourself.

GO INTO the asda store with a photocopy of the NTD , and speak to the MANAGER , noit the help desk , tell him you were shopping on the day in question , ask him , actually TELL him to get it cancelled , or all your lovely XMAS stuff comes back to him .

give him the photocopy , and write your name /address and phone + email address on it , ask him to contact you firstly be email , with conformation that this has been dropped

you have omitted to tell us "why" you got a ticket , is it because the "muppet" did not like blue cars , or what?

But note that ASDA staff have a habit of claiming that the car park does not belong to them. That would be a LIE, so do not accept any such excuse. If they try it on, don't be afraid of calling the manager a liar to his/her face, and that you will be letting head office know of his/her duplicity.

Unforunatelly, ASDA Crawley is 50+ miles away from me - for my luck, I stopped there on my way back home from a trip on that day. Which is why I did not know they had any parking restrictionsin place. So going back to speak to the manager is not an option. Which is why I wrote to him, including photocopies of the NtD and my ASDA receipt, and sent the letter 'signed-for'.

I got the NtD for failing to display a refundable-at-the-till £2 parking permit (pay and display). However, as I said earlier, I did not just ignore the pay-and-display signs, this small car park had no signage I could see nor a ticket machine to give me a clue. Once I finished my shopping and came out to find the ticket on the windscreen, I had a good look around and the main carpark has ticket machines and signage - but not this small one on the side (still owned by ASDA though).
