If only Statement balance is greater than Credit limit will it harm my score in CRAs?

Hi.

Does the Statement balance figure (but not the Account balance figure) makes any impact on scoring and lenders' decisions or not?

On 7th of December when the bank month statement was generated and interest was added to the account I went over my limit. Few days later on 10th of December I made a payment and brought my balance below the limit. I know that in the CRA will appear Account balance which will reflect the balance which I have on 26th, it will be OK for both months. But in CRA will appear Statement balance as well, which will show the figure £2232 which was on 7th of December while my limit is £2200. My Account balance will be OK, but Statement balance will be over the limit.

Thanks.

Lenders are a law unto themselves when it comes to assessing people for credit. The extent to which a lender may (or may not) factor in a blip on your file is therefore difficult to generalise about. If your statement balance exceeded your credit limit then it may attract some attention but if it has been corrected by the reporting date and it hasn't happened before then I would say it is likely to be ignored by most lenders.

    Edit
What a CRA might do regarding their guess at a "score" is entirely irrelevant.
