If she had, she could probably have got some Cashback too ... Though uploading that receipt would be a nightmare  and if she were on here her four trolleys would be split into smaller shops for TBG :D.

This is very commendable and a great amount raised for charity. I am not sure the article gave much away though - the tip of sending Christmas Cards to companies would likely be a short lived strategy for getting vouchers as companies would become wise to it? The articles do not really indicate how a normal person could get all that for free with vouchers, though some useful advice for general shopping. I feel sure we would have spotted any opportunities for free toys etc if it were there - any ideas? Perhaps a letter indicating we were looking to set a record and was there anything a company could do to assist would help ... ;).

The £67 of shopping for 11p as the MSE top tip of the year (right hand of this page) with Extreme Couponing is possibly more achievable for Joe Public ... though you do wonder what the Elite ways would achieve, with Advanced price matching techniques through APG, S BG and T BM alongside vouchers thrown in to the mix - and that is without factoring in glitches :D.

I am not being cynical - learning to use APG properly should be workable for most people, or simply using vouchers or uploading a receipt for CS, CoS, Shopit etc, but I cannot even get my family on board with those simple techniques :o.

PS - Clubcard points will come in handy too.

No it's funny isn't it. All the years I have been doing this and my friends and family all say I don't know how you do it, I say I will show you but they just arent interested. I don't mean APG because I've only got to grips with that myself this year thanks to my friend :hello: T
When Ts would take any coupon I used to call in every day on my way home from work and get as much as I could carry for virtually nothing. Unfortunately that T closed down so its not as easy any more I have to travel to the next town now.
