    I did notice the Carling earlier, that someone posted today from a womble - mbuy missing - there were some 20x440ml ones that I was checking for the M list yesterday - does anyone want me obsessively going on about moneysaving this close to the new year?:rotfl: - those ones that are £10 in M and were 2 for £20 outside of Scotland last time, so no change there then:p and just had you buying too much before - I noticed one of the now "£10" M ones was showing straight £12 on msm/a.com but others were £12 and 2 for £20 online - with the individual price being the same £12 throughout, I thought maybe one of them has the mbuy missing and thought about posting about it but in the event I didn't do anything as I thought it was probably nothing. But, maybe I was on the right lines and should have posted. Then again, I'd end up with a lot more posts that didn't turn into anything useful. The Carling isn't on £10 in M so that one turned out to be something different and only against T at £10. It wouldn't have therefore been a trigger against M (mixed and matched). There was a straight £12 one (A price) of the "M £10" items yesterday though - and all the others at £12 and 2 for £20. However, I think these are going - have gone - to full price in A now, so in the new year, the glitch would be now over.

    Happy New Year!:rotfl::rotfl::):D

    366 days?:) Thank you for reminding me - it's going to be a leap year!:j:j:D:rotfl::cool:

    One more day of winter:(:rotfl:.
    (But I'm sure it actually means the summertime comes around just as normal and keeps the seasons in line:cool:. That said, even if we didn't have leap years it wouldn't have drifted out by months - except, obviously, over a really long time indeed.)

    77 and 69 were both memorable years for me (showing my age again lol)
    - guess the song :)

    Wishing good things for all for 2016 x

    If anyone wants to get a "proper" party going...

    This was my idea:

    Bet I'm either out of touch with the mainstream (it certainly doesn't get played at any 'pop parties' I always end up being cajoled into going to each year) or else I'm showing my age:o.

    No-one else likes it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::cool::rotfl:.

    This is also one of my absolute favourites (I'm of that era):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG8fcxqFgNA

    I'm convinced that this one (above), supposedly the "Quake Vocal Mix" contained on the Gatecrasher Classics Vol. 1 album - according to the tracklisting on discogs.com - here I bore everyone:laugh: - sounds more real that than what is described as the "Quake Vocal Mix" on the CD single that charted at no. 58 whatever it did in 1998. I'm just convinced that this one is a better version and a bit faster/more real feel to it than the commercially-available CD which claims that it contains the Quake Vocal Mix but perhaps they were telling us a bit of a white lie?:think:

    I'm convinced the one at the link above, supposedly the "Quake Vocal Mix featuring Marcia Rae", is more real than the CD single track, supposedly the "Quake Vocal Mix featuring Marcia Rae", that's on the CD single. Does anyone agree?:rotfl::rotfl: Not that you have any idea of what I'm talking about or even know the CD single song.

    It's the same, I am positive about it, with Skydive by Freefall featuring Jan Johnston. I'm convinced there are albums where they use the copy of the vinyl record that they'd play out at the dance club and they sound real (even though CD reveals the 'imperfections' of vinyl, which is a more real sound) whereas the CD versions of the song that makes the charts are some watered-down version that isn't actually what it originally was (despite being called "Original Mix" on them). It's just not the same thing!

    I guess my Asperger hearing looks into the detail and notices fine differences in sound. That said, there's one guy - heard him on the radio over a decade ago - and he can tell when a 60s/70s pop song that radio are playing is in a fact a rerecorded version from some 1980s hits CD and not the actual original sound. They actually played the versions, on BBC local radio this was, that the local radio station plays. He was there, on several of them, "That's a rerecording", "That's a rerecording", "Now, that one is the original". I don't know how he did it, because they played different ones and they sounded the same to me. But then I've always - being born later than the 1960s - heard the versions that the radio has picked up and played. Sometimes they are from compilations of hits that came out much later, and those are what radio is generally playing and supposedly as the "hit", when in fact the original hit of the time sounded a bit different and we're never hearing it! I think we are being misled...:D We need to be told!:)
