Spent the evening watching Stella series 4 :)

Mrs Browns Boys D'Movie is different (originally saw it in cinema) as there is no audience laughter :)

We too zippy are looking at kitchen taps. Bought brushed steel ones from ebay - less than £20 total rubbish! Had really expensive ones for upstairs Bristan brushed steel but put cillit bang on them and forgot about it - result ruined taps, We have terrible limescale in the south and it is impossible to keep taps looking good. Think I have ruined kitchen tap with vinegar/cheap lemon in a bottle. I will keep my eyes open for you when we are looking.

I bought kitchen taps (brushed) nearly £75 the last ones I had not from the same company but same design lasted 15years and I only changed them as we were having a new kitchen otherwise they were still good.

No glitches today, no matter how hard I tried..:o

However, one of my fave till supervisors put me on to these fab ready cooked ham joints. SEL says £7 and both the normal and the honey roast scan at £1.75 each for 1kg. Only the normal appears on the apg..

1x ASDA Grower's Selection British Round Lettuce (EACH) £0.45 £0.46
2x ASDA Christmas Oven Baked Ham Joint (1KG) £3.50 N/A
    1x Goodfella's Extra Thin Stonebaked Chicken & Nduja Sausage Pizza (307G) £1.25 N/A

:rotfl:It looks like the Kale should have been put onto CC as weren't they 50p each in store earlier today?

    Happy New Year everyone:).
It seems it was fortunate it was New Year's Eve as it looks like everyone was at a concert several floors below the fire. Just thank goodness for that, but, again, everyone in the right place this time:). Unless we're being misled - do I ever believe anything anyone ever says these days?

I managed to get a shop for the Colour Change Candles done before they closed today - thanks deedee! All that Morrisons collection info. though (which of course didn't pick up the Colour Changing Candle as I was looking at £2 or below for candles:wall:). All that - and, at the end of it, I just put loose carrot, loose onion, mini Haribos and a banana in the shop. I'm learning though - I didn't get technically best comp. on the carrot or the onion, technically lost a couple of pence or so but the Air Wick Candle far outweighed and, even with the fillers, I paid net very little. The carrot etc. was essential to get the cheap price. It's free shopping anyway.

How they can sell those candles at £6.98:eek: though! They also are a lot tinier than what I imagined - real rip-off at £6.98 in my view - that's something I'd never pay. No idea why people pay £6.98 for what essentially is 'just' a candle! I suspect the 2 for £7 is there though just to get people to go for that and buy two - but end up paying slightly over the odds on shelf pricing than they would be on an individual price offer - the fact they are £3 in M I think shows that.

I didn't do the Heinz soup as it wasn't clear to me what I needed to do. It looked like they were now straight 50p online - I noted the expensive £1.19 versions but, just not enough time, and probably nowhere near as good as the earlier glitch earlier this year. I did the Del Montes which worked - my useless store though:mad::mad::rotfl: didn't have nearly enough of them left so I just ended up with one shop instead of the two I had originally planned and they had none of the Crushed Pineapple:( - I think I've been down that road before - so I had to put some Peach Slices into the shop instead, which I didn't really want, in order to get enough and the right number of items.

I did try a small supermarket on the journey back, but not even enough range there to get enough items and wanted more Chunks of Pineapple but only had Slices and, somehow, I thought perhaps they might be more risky (t.com says "Pineapple Slices...", a.com says "Sliced Pineapple" - though I'm not totally sure the APG works that way, with descriptions on a.com - the APG system might have different description to a.com?). I hadn't got a result off my earlier shop at this point so didn't want to risk another shop in case that didn't work. I ended up with 12 tins though - and "short" BB dates on some - about a year but not nearly enough for me - and, realistically, I think 12 is about the number we would get through in a year. We don't really consume one a month.

But all was good on my shops (not posting any comparison info. as I think the shops are now shut for everyone so it's no use anyway today). I claimed a few vouchers for the shops and good news is it is now nearly a new month so that the account now becomes usable again soon!

I have the analogue radio at hand tonight as, although the chimes of Big Ben are never exact, four or five seconds too late at the start of this year was too much for me! So, whilst digital TV is running with a delay before it reaches us:(, I shall have the sound turned off later and Radio 4 on!

    Happy New Year!
  • Hi
have been watching the catherine tates nan I recorded last nite and have hurt myself cos I laughed so much, but my op site is killing now.can hardly breathe.so funny so if you need a right laugh, then please watch on the catch up thingy.
im here to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.i really hope there will be loads of glitches for all and that ppl keep posting, whenever, so that as many ppl can benefit, not just the few who seem to treat it as their paid employment.before you complain, its not said in jealousy, as ive never had the time or money to take advantage.
after joining this group, I have met some wonderful posters who have made me apprieciate all I have and that you dont need a massive stash to enjoy.it just takes up room and causes rows, and also , when I really need something, it will usually turn up on special offer or similar, or ill save money not buying it in the first place.
if I take one thing from this last year with you lot, its that when you have to choose between money and good health, alot of posters on here would choose good health and a long life over making loads of money.
    cheers to you all.
my bestest always to FC, DAVID. and BB.:A
god bless from me and salwag
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A
