Our only crisis is that we have run out of hot washing up water

eldest sons GF has had a very bad cold and cough so she is dosing herself up every 2 hours

Youngest son should be checking in now for his flight. I've sent him 2 messages to ask him to message us when he has checked in or at least before he flies -about 01.20 out of Hong Kong international - needless to say they have fallen on deaf ears.
I will check flight departures to see if his plane goes off on time but keeping awake until that time is going to be a struggle - only got to 11 last night

Too true - he has got himself on the bus on time to the airport with his phone, to the right terminal and desk, checked in and gone through the gate and remembered to let his parents know - remarkable powers of concentration

Verdict on the real tree - well it went down like a lead balloon, eldest son was in the house for half an hour before he noticed that is was a real tree instead of a fake one

But on the plus side we had eldest sons GF here for the afternoon helping to decorate it which was lovely
Eldest child loved it and youngst son arriving tommorow will be impressed anyway

Yes it's like when we all go away we try and track down all sorts of lovely food and drink to bring back - Gfs step mum has sent a box of her home made Grrman biscuits, there is Japanese liqueurs, German chocolates and sausages and home made preserves, spanish chocolate .....
