    Morning :)

I am on a decent chocolate coin hunt today. I couldn't find any in Ts yesterday. I usually have them by now but forgot this year. :o

In fact the Xmas/seasonal aisle only had one side stocked that's not looking good for the sales!! The other side already had cleaning stuff I think. :(

    Good morning everyone.

Oh, thanks for this, absolutely love shortbread, never made it myself, will give this a go.

You can also jazz them up a bit, by decorating them with icing or chocolate.:)

Some great shopping yesterday. Got desserts offer x 3 so we are all sorted for Xmas. Also got more cheese. Young male assistant was really impressed with my prices. As I was leaving I met a friend and told her about the desserts took her to the display and gave her 2 vouchers. She was really pleased. Went back at Whoopsie time and got some lovely meat bargains.
Ladies who pmd me for vouchers I sent them yesterday.

    I disagree. Love this recipe:

    250g block marg
    250g butter
    250g icing sugar
Beat together, do not over mix

    Add in;
    pinch salt
    250g cornflour
    500g plain flour

Mix until dough consistency. Cut into biscuits. Add to greased tray. Bake at 160C for approx 45 mins until tops are firm, sprinke with sugar.

May be best to half above mix as get loads. Can use all butter, OH loves them this way, but I prefer half marg as very rich all butter.

Thank you. I've actually got the Be Ro book as well! I don't seem to be very good at anything that involves rolling out, so generally avoid pastry and biscuit recipes. Might give this a go and see if I've improved!

Wedding Anniversary today and in the wonderful world of Facebook, it reminds you of memories from this day X number of years ago. Five years ago I posted a picture of the back garden knee deep in snow, this year is soo much warmer!

    Happy anniversary silvercar.

Hi all, some good 70% reductions in S's today eg The Cook's Collection Baking range - the red items are reduced. I bought a 23cm springform cake tin for £2.40. Also, nice Mr Santa mugs reduced to £1.20 - I am going to use them to put giftcards in and wrap in cellophane. Plus all boardgames seem to be at least 50% off - the most expensive was £10 eg QI, Gogglebox, Taboo etc etc.
Have a good day all :)
