Thanks LS, I am a terrible googler. In a way I would rather expect the worse then be told otherwise but on the other hand I am probably panicking for nothing. I suppose that is why the doc never mentioned what specifics the tests were ruling out.

Hope you are on the mend after your health issues x

A couple of years ago I had a golfball sized lump on the front of my neck. Googled, and convinced myself I had cancer, was so nervous when it came to the scan. Fortunately the person doing the scan was able to reassure me that it wasn't cancer, it was a thyroglossal cyst, and it was removed later that year. The internet can be a great source of information, and I'm one of these people that likes to be informed and know as much as I can about something. I have found though, particularly this year with everything I've been through, that sometimes being overly informed isn't a good thing and just leads to panic. :o

My friend who has cancer is very much like me, googles everything. However, she deliberately hasn't looked up anything to do with her cancer as it just scares her, and she would rather not know. Not sure I could be that controlled, think I would be constantly googling, but you just don't know until you're in that situation.

Running mums feet over will be half the fun  Dh was quick to agree to buying it so I think he will be having a go and "Showing" ds2 how to use it :p

:rotfl: You reminded me of my mum then, "we only got a tangerine and a lump of coal" :rotfl::rotfl: Or another one "a doll, a drum and a kick up the bum" :D

I know what you mean though, we spend around £100 each on the kids and that includes stocking fillers. Friends of ours spend more like £300 each child  Might spend a bit more for their birthdays as money not normally quite so tight as at xmas. I think we'll have a good one this year, we're eating out xmas day ;) a first for us but was getting too stressful in our small house with our 2, mum in law and dd1, her partner and thier 2 under 2's  Costing £100 for 4 of us so am struggling to accept it but we've paid the deposit and I am looking forward to not spending the day rushed off my feet :)
"a doll, a drum and a kick up the bum" :D not heard that before:T
Have a lovely meal out, thats quite a good price i think for 4 for xmas day, u thought it was more like £40 although never been out xmas day

Savvs don't forget the £5 off £40 @ Lidl in the News come round regular as clockwork. So the lasagne might be cheaper @ Lidl

Thank you - I was going to post one in fact as I saw a voucher on one of the newspapers, but who would be spending £40:eek::rotfl:.

Okay, with the shops now closed (in England/Wales), I'm finally getting to the M list:wall: - but, to be fair, I did mention last night probably all the items that I still have to put on. And, anyway, technically the APG may continue with last Wednesday's pricing into at least tomorrow. I don't know whether I'll be doing a Morries price collection tomorrow - again, I'm not expecting much to change except the Young's Admiral/Mariner's Pies are due to have ended - I think at least one of these does *not* work on the APG anyway (does not pick up M mbuy:() - I think I will be doing Wednesday (23 December) in M - I doubt I will be doing a Lidl collection again - tbh though I'd rather it were Monday and then not anything the rest of the week - it's just getting close to Christmas - but the Wednesday one will continue longer - so I'd better do the Wednesday, but I'll be updating on Christmas Eve:eek::rotfl::rotfl:. Ah well, never mind!:D

So, maybe not tomorrow, but probably 23rd:eek: December instead. In fact, I have days out organised over Christmas itself and 26th - a bloomin' nuisance if I might say:(:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Rather stop in and lie in, I would!:D:rotfl::T

Thanks Harry. I am struggling to know what other giftcards to buy after having given nephews and nieces book tokens for Christmas!! But it is great to know that I can use the T conditional spend with a T giftcard, even if I don't get those extra CC points. Bring back 3V I say! Or add Amazon ones to the mix...

    You possibly misconstrue

The one that doesn't get you the 150 points for £50 spend is Tesco Store Tesco giftcard, get it? :)

All other giftcards in Tesco would be fine

    Good morning all.
Just catching up and saw this. Miss c, buy it.:D
I've had one for ages, a brilliant bit of kit that I can highly recommend. I've saved on my electricity bill using mine, as it only heats up the water you need. I've converted my family members too. The kettles, both gas and electric, are now redundant.

I see that the Breville dispenser has been mentioned. I found that being unable to regulate the amount that it dispenses was a problem. I ended up dispensing into a jug as there was too much water dispensed, even for a mug. A better price though :)

Thanks Neibbric. Its been dispatched now so to late to change my mind. I will see how we get on.

I was  at the price but if it lasts as long as the last one (17 yrs) it works out quite cheap

    the good rellies got

amuse gueule: thinly sliced jamon de serrano on local wheaten bread, they had to learn how to slice it thinly themselves & remove unwanted bits (fat, outside skin) - this amused them greatly such that I turned off the oven whilst they had fun eating

soup - simple recipe carrots onions orange-pumpkin chicken-stock garlic water cook & whiz it up - sometimes I add ginger but this time I forgot & it was still great

leg of lamb, cooked 4 hours, blasted 15 mins 220C then 3.5 hrs 50C so nice & pink but cooked; mixed veg still al dente; Harry's famous roasties + gravy

Needless to say went down very well

    followed by a walk lol

then that greedy lot had ice cream, cake & coffee but I just walked a bit longer
