Thanks i will try it :T sounds strange being 48 and never cooked pasta bake:rotfl::rotfl:

    SW variety.
Microwave onions till soft and put in frying pan, cover with a couple of tins of chopped tomatoes, add herbs of your choice (Italian ones work well). Cook on low till mixture has got thicker, about 20 mins. Cook some penne for three minutes under pack cooking time and drain and leave in saucepan. Take off the fat from a few slices of bacon (smoked works well) and chop up to small pieces. Grate some cheese (SW is reduced fat cheddar). Mix 2/3rds of the sauce into the penne. In a deep pyrex/baking dish, layer the pasta, add some bacon and cheese, repeat till pasta and bacon has gone. Top it wth the rest of the sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cook in a medium oven for about 45 mins. Make a large salad to serve with it. (Sounds weird but works). You can add any other veg to the pb. Sometimes I make mini pork balls (mince, with sage and chopped spring onions mixed together, on baking tray and cook for about 12 mins then add instead of the bacon).

When my vegetarian nephew visited, He had the same but with bacon quorn instead and loved it.

It's a good meal to have with friends, as you all just help yourself.
