I've just got back from argos.I thought I would have a quick look what to get.
Rather than hanging about and in the absence of any good glitch on chocs,I bought a Thorntons premium collection 335g for £4.On display so no queing up.

It's just down the road from my asda so had another quick womble

    1x Lynx Africa Duo Gift Set (EACH) £5.00 £3.00 A v M

Many of the 2 for £8 gift sets are cheaper in morries and tosco so my shopper did the right thing for me by only buying one:rotfl::rotfl:

    hi all,

i ve been quiet this week as i have been having more tough times at work.
My bully boss has been worse than ever so i 've been given no choice but get support from my union. There is no way i am allowing anyone to be treated like this and thankfully i am in a good position to stand up to him now.

i'm going to work but thankfully its christmas soon.

Hugs to Snap ant and fc and anyone else who needs them

Sorry that things at work have been so bad for you. Maybe this will be a turning point now. Not long to go now for your Christmas break, you can enjoy yourself then :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

What's the deal with the Philly please?
If you buy 5 tubs of Philly at T's at £2.40 per tub, use a £3 off dairy moc from the current mag, don't forget to buy fillers, you get a BM against asda, so if works out at £2 for 5 tubs

Time to get our thinking caps on as to what we can spend £2.50 on in Argos - last time some people really were inventive and got some interesting things.
and then there was some that just got very unexciting pillowcases for £2.50 - that was me.

......... and me :o :rotfl: I couldn't see or think of anything else

I got something stranger to say now you have posted the above.
Was it in a white jiffy bag when it was delivered and needed signing for please with nothing to say who it was from ?

I am saying this because I received the above last month and it was addressed to my address but name wasn't mine nor Poppy's .

Postie had left it in my secure place .

Inside was the above CD. If you say yes to my question it solves me wondering where it had appeared from :T

I offered it DS when he came visiting and he didn't want it so I am stuck with it lol :)

Talking about egg shells for planting seeds and putting egg shells in compost bin. I put mine in but just scrunch them up by hand and mix them up in the cuttings etc in the top of the bin. Never had a problem, they breakdown fine inside. Never seen a rat in the garden nor any sign of rats and we've lived here just over 27 years.

I know this was a topic yesterday but I forgot to reply :o

so my OH is in the dog house.
I did ask him yesterday if there was any chance of him finishing in good time today as I had a mass of shopping to do (actually about 15 different shops on my To Do) list
My theory being that if I did manage to get him away from work then we could also have a nice lunch out first, a few places locally on the Amex local shop list. and then tackle the shopping
so off he went at 7 as usual and then strolled into the house at 3 - completely baffled as to why I am so mad at him

so when I finished chewing his ear off - the roads around here are desperate around school time and it was far too late for lunch - we did eventually set off for town. By the time we got out of Aldi and into town it was 4.15 and dark, hate going out in the dark.

needless to say a huge long queue in the post office but I managed to get to Superdrug and Home Bargains so 4 things off the list so at least its a start - I really wanted to do the entire list in one long sweep.

I asked him about the garage on the way home and he said he had forgotten it was supposed to be today for taking sons car in for a tyre change, garage had rung him to remind him but it was too late

I have no idea why I am disappointed or even surprised by this as its par for the course - yes there is always the weekend but then its not our anniversary at the weekend, its today
yes I could take myself out for lunch but then that's not exactly much fun
and yes I could have tackled most of the shopping myself today if I was still driving and yes that's my own fault that I am not

at least I got the wrapping done and the Amazon parcel came
